Ok after my we rant yesterday morning, all went well....Mr Beaver shaved, and we trodded off into town. Had a look what movies were on, but didn't really fancy any of them. Went to pay off the credit card and had a tea and a wee treat in Starbucks. Went to Buchanan Galleries and down Buchanan Street.
Had lunch in TGI Fridays, which was ok, but not as good as it used to be. But oh well, we had a great time. Went to Pets at Home to get the weans something to eat and then to Tesco to get some nibbles.
Our night, we spent watchin X Factor, eating cheese and drinking wine...it was lovely.
This morning I went to the gym...an hour of Body Jam and an hour of Spinning. Shattered now, so having the rest of the afternoon in the usual position on the sofa lol

God I'm a crabby bitch today. Just snapped at Mr. Beaver because he didn't shave! Well it's our anniversary weekend and we are going into Glasgow to do a bit of window shopping maybe a movie and something to eat. I went through the effort of getting dolled up and he didn't even shave. Grrrrr

Buffet Day

Ohhh it's our Halloween Buffet at work today. Way too much nice food that's defo off plan. But it was nice...very nice. Can I be bothered going to my spinning class tonight? No, not really....but we see how it pans out.....I really should, after stuffing myself with crazyness.

Zumba

Just back from Zumba. Was really good fun, lots of my SW buddies have joined. Other than that my dayt was a bit of a disaster again. It's like I'm going one step forwad and two steps back....and by the looks of it, tomorrow won't be any better. We're having a buffet at work tomorrow, and it's usually very scrummy and too hard to pass on. Then going out Saturday....which means I'm only back on track by Sunday.
Going Spinning tomorrow, hopefully that will counteract at least some of the naughtyness.

Well, besides the weigh-in disaster yesterday it was also our 5 year anniversary....5 years ago Mr. Beaver and I ran into each other in our favorite watering hole in Limassol. Oh how time flies....Anyhoo, I made the biggest stupid mistake ever....I've ordered a card from Moonpig...or so I thought....I forgot to put the order through all the way. I'm such an idiot lol.
Anyway, Mr. Beaver got me a lovely card and a wee sister for my lovely 'Bracken'. Her name is 'Scoot'. Bracken, the wee badger is living on my dashboard and was rather lonely, so now he has company. Well it's weigh-in day again. Don't think I'll have much of a loss today. Should really have made the right choices last weekend, but it's my own fault. Thank goodness it's tasting night, so I'll escape the shame lol.
Oh I really hate myself. Had a lovely fruity breakfast and brought tomatosoup for lunch....and what do I want? Not the tomato soup....nooooooo, I want a chilliburger and chips.....aaarrrggghhh, why oh why can't I just stick to my plan???? On weighin day! And knowing myself, this won't leave me in peace until I had said burger....so what will I do? Will I just have my soup and get on with it and maybe stay the same tonight? Or will I have the burger, and deal with a gain.

Ok, I lost the battle, had a burger and half a portion of chips....aaaaarrrrgghhhhh. It was yummy right enough, but I will definetely have to pay for that tonight. I'm weak.

How your body is so unpredictable
AM weight: 15st 7 1/4lb
PM pre dinner/gym weight: 15st 9lb
PM post dinner/gym weight: 15st 8 1/2lb
Strange this, isn't it? I weight 15st 7lb last night, after my workout, and this morning I'm 1/4lb heavier....WTF? After that heavy workout last night, very strange...just tells you that your body is unpredictable. I got one more day left before weigh in tomorrow. I really don't want a gain....and I rather not stay the same....a wee loss would be great, but I have my doubts after the rather 'heavy' Saturday that I've had.
Anyhoooo, enough moaning, lets get down to business. Fruity breakfast as usual, and I actually had a cup of tea first. I'm usually not a tea drinker, but I'm experimenting with filling up my stomach with fluid and if it makes a difference to my appetite. Usually I have breakfast about 7.30am, but managed to have it at 8am today.
9.30am.....slight hunger...ate an apple
10.20am...stomach growling....made cuppa tea and had some grapes
10.55am....slowly drinking my tea, still feeling a bit hungry....having more grapes
11.15am....nearly lunch time...well kinda hungry, stomach not growling, but I want my lunch lol....15 mins to go....
11.55am....just finished my lunch....Batchelors Pasta & Sauce....very yummy....very full now, but the tea experiment will continue
Gym tonight was awesome , Jeds classes are brilliant. Had pasta again for dinner and made tomato soup for taste night tomorrow.

Another freeeezing morning in Scotland, -1 when I got in the car....brrrrr. Time to get the winter jackets out. Gotta chase Mr. Beaver to go up in the loft. He won't be impressed lol.
Had my fruity breakfast and having a baked potato with philadelphia and 1/4 smoked sausage for my lunch. Will go to the gym after work and then probably to Zumba later on tonight. Haven't sorted dinner yet, might make some tomato soup, or alternatively just have some pasta with cheese.
Feeling a lot more awake than I did yesterday. But we went to bed at 9.30 last night, that certainly helped.

Tales of the unexpected
Well of course nothing ever goes as I plan it in the mornings! During the afternoon I got quiet hungry, so I decided to not go to the gym directly after work, but go home and make some food instead and go to the gym later. I made some pasta with cheese and egg, which was moorish as usual. Called MIL and told her I wouldn't be going to Zumba that night. Instead went to the gym, planning on doing Body Attack and Body Combat.
Unfortunately Body Attack was already full, so I went to the gym for an hour and then joined Body Combat, which was absolutely amazing. Hard, fast workout, making me sweat like mad. Just some of these girls in there were a bit nuts....wtf is all the shouting about? Just a tad overexited lol.

Saturday Night Fever
Brilliant day yesterday. Been to the 9am spinning class to wake me up and had an appointment at the hairdressers after that. Hair all chopped off and coloured again. Very glad, hair feels sooo much better now. Went home after to chill out for a bit, have my Baguette Express for lunch and then started to get ready.
Met the chicks at 5 and Mr. Beaver drove us into town. Went to Merchant City Square to have dinner, it was fab. Food was great, wine was lovely and the venue was just stunning. Went to O'Neills after for a couple of drinks. They had a lifeband on, which was a nice change. Hopped in a taxi after to hit another couple of bars....Gosh, I'm soooo glad I don't have to do this anymore every weekend, getting too old for this drama. Finally managed to get a taxi home. It was absolutely freezing.
Foodwise I've been naughty. Instead of the sensible choice of maybe Pasta Arrabiata, I went for Fajitas lol....and the wine and cocktail sure didnt help....not to forget the Pate starter and Banana Loaf dessert....but hey, we're not going out that often. Nearly cried when I stood on the scales this morning right enough. So dragged Mr. Beaver out and went for a 4 1/2 mile walk. Certainly helped to get the cobwebs away.
Today is just chillout time. Waiting for the food to be delivered, watching the Old Firm game and eating crisps.....
Tomorrow it's back on track!

The Pig in me...
...showed it's ugly face again. I'm so angry with myself. I wanted to go to the gym, but once I got home into the warm cosy house, I couldnt be bothered anymore....and instead of mac n cheese we ordered a chinese. And the worst thing is, I didnt even enjoy most of it.
Had hot n sour soup as a starter, which was lovely. But then had a starter collection and salt n pepper chips....all of that was rubbish, but I still ate it....grrrrr!

Hooray, it's that time of the week!!!! Two hours to go, and I'm a free Beaver, can't wait.
Came home yesterday, and kicked back on the sofa, enjoying my night of rest. Had two Greggs Halloween muffins, heaven on a plate, really. Watched 2 episodes of Fringe and the Apprentice, so we're all up to date now lol. For some reason I was in a really ratty mood last night. Can't explain it, but could have bitten someones head off. Poor Mr Beaver didn't know what was happening to him.

Thursday = Fritatta Day
Every Wednesday I make a Fritatta for after (during) SW class and eat the leftovers on Thursday. I had a different dinner during class last night, so I have the whole Fritatta for today. My own creation, adapted over the last couple of years. It's not really a Fritatta, as it's made with pasta, but it's the same concept. This Fritatta lasts me all day. I have my usual fruity breakfast and then just nibble on this all day. It's very filling and defo my favorite recipe. It's easy quick and synfree.

Other than that it will be a quiet day. I've decided it's my day of rest, so no workout. Just lounging on the couch with Mr. Beaver and catching up on some recorded shows. So far I've escaped the news who got fired at the apprentice yesterday lol. Definitely the first thing we'll watch tonight.
I'm sleepy, is it 3.30 yet?

Weigh-in week 42
Just back from my weigh-in....lost 1 1/2lb. Wee bit disappointed by that, really wanted more. But I only have myself to blame, after all I was piggin it last week. Only been on plan since Saturday really. So heyho, at least it's off and not on. And I'll be good, only have night out with the girlies on Saturday, other than that nothing crazy planned.
Of course mommy dearest brought us some treats from Greggs....as it's Wednesday. Bless her logic lol. So I have a wee smiley Halloween cookie with marshmallow on top and two chocolate cupcakes in the fridge for tomorrow.
Was planning on going to the gym tomorrow, but I'm fairly sore just now, so I might have a day of rest tomorrow. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
Of course mommy dearest brought us some treats from Greggs....as it's Wednesday. Bless her logic lol. So I have a wee smiley Halloween cookie with marshmallow on top and two chocolate cupcakes in the fridge for tomorrow.

Feckin freezing!
OMG, it's soooo cold today. Woke up this morning, stuck a foot out of the bed and just groaned. When I looked out the window, what did I see? Yes, all the cars were frozen over. Oh maaaaan, I hate winter!
Anyway, weigh-in day today. Which means a light lunch and the gym after work. Had my usual breakfast and had my lovely soup with 2 slices of wholemeal bread for lunch. I finish at 3pm today, so I should have an hour and a half in the gym to work some of these pounds off. Crosstrainer to start with I think and then 40 mins on the treadmill. That should do the trick lol. I really need a good loss tonight, getting sick and tired of myself and lack of willpower. My collegue just had a chilliburger (the same one we had on Friday) for her lunch, and I was tempted to snatch it from her lol....how pathetic am I?

Tomato Soup and 2 new gym classes
Had my very healthy breakfast this morning. Lunch was some leftover new potatoes from yesterday with some leftover Ragu from Sunday. Very nice and veeery filling. Came home from work and made the Tomato Soup out of the new SW mag. Have to say it was very nice. Have loads left, so will take it for lunch tomorrow.
Hobbled off to the gym to try out 2 new classes. Started off with Total Toning and finshed off with Circuits. OMG, I hope I can walk tomorrow. Was well worth it tho, and I really enjoyed both of them....tomorrow morning will be a whole different story.
Tucked in on the couch now, watching TV and off to bed soon....weigh-in day tomorrow....dundunduuunn

Healthy Breakfast
I thought I post a picture of my (nearly) daily breakfast. It usually contains 1/2 box of strawberries, 1 banana, 1/2 box of pineapple chunks and some frozen cherries. Depending on season I vary these fruits a bit, adding rasberrys, plums, apples, melon etc. I usually top it with a Muller Light or other FF yoghurt. It's very filling, syn free and very healthy to start your day with.

Getting savvy
Oh, I'm getting quiet good at this with my new blog. After a bit of hassle I managed to get a new page up and running. My lovely Recipe page. I've managed to put a table of contenents on top, which saves from scrolling through every recipe. I'm so pleased with myself. I will update this site as I go along with my recipes.
Today's been a good day so far. Had my usual fruit for brekkie and just had a baked potatoe with the leftover of my sausages and had the new Sweet Chilli Philadelphia (B choice) on the side, was very yummy.
Dinner tonight will be the new Birdseye chicken that you can bake in the bag, with new potatoes and corn on the cob.
And to top it al off, it's ZUUUUMBAAAA tonight whoopwhoop!

Bodyjam and Ragu
I love Sundays...no alarm, no getting up early, doing whatever I want....bliss! Well got up around 8 and had my lovely Porridge, with an apple chopped up into it and some sweetener and cinnamon added.

Went to the gym afterward for my first BodyJam session...definetely different to Zumba, lot faster. But lots of fun as well, and a high calorie burner for sure. Was thinking of doing the Spinning after, but my bum was still too sore from Friday's session. So decided to do another workout in the gym instead, which did the trick.
Went home, had some of my leftover sausages and chilled out on the sofa and watched a movie, while Mr. Beaver was out in his porn shop (MachineMart that is lol). Movie was called 'The last emporer' and was rather strange, but perfect for Sunday afternoon. Shopping arrived, and it was time to start cooking dinner. Decided on the Ragu out of the SW Magazine, which turned out looooovely.
Had an Almondy tart for dessert tho...yummmmm. Just finished watching Avatar and once Mr. Beaver finished playing with his PS3 it's time for XFactor......

Gym and a take on a recipe
Oh yeah, I can still walk...well impressed with myself. My bum is still a bit tender, but other than that I'm feeling good....and my home scale said 15st 6lb this morning, which made me very very happy.
Been to Livi this morning to get Mr. B his beloved new PS3 game and also got myself new trainers, new gym shirts and a pair of gym trousers....all set! Had a wee hot chocolate and a apple toffee muffin for brekkie and then a baguette express for lunch.
I'm trying Mummy Blubbers very yummy looking Cowboy Brekkie for dinner, with my own homemade sausages....hopefully I remember to take a picture of it.
Other than that, XFactor tonight and chillin the rest of the weekend.....
Been to Livi this morning to get Mr. B his beloved new PS3 game and also got myself new trainers, new gym shirts and a pair of gym trousers....all set! Had a wee hot chocolate and a apple toffee muffin for brekkie and then a baguette express for lunch.
I'm trying Mummy Blubbers very yummy looking Cowboy Brekkie for dinner, with my own homemade sausages....hopefully I remember to take a picture of it.
Other than that, XFactor tonight and chillin the rest of the weekend.....

First time back to the gym
After a day of complete piggery, that is eating the Greggs pastries for brekkie, and then finishing it off with a chilli burger and chips for lunch, I went to the gym tonight. Didn't go in the gym itself, my induction isn't until tomorrow, but went to a Zumba class first. Which was a bit different...only 20 people are allowed int he class, which is not much compared to the classes I'm used to. But other than that the class was good.
Afterwards I stayed for the spinning class, which was really tough, but I did like it and managed to follow it til the end...woohoooo! Ok, I kinda hobbled out lol, and tomorrow I won't be able to walk, but heyho, I'm a beaver on a mission!
Anyhow, I'm showered, in my jammies and ready to chill!

Hunger!
OMG, I am sooo hungry, it's crazy....I woke up this morning and was hungry. Had an apple at 6.30 and just had my lovely porridge with apple, cinnamon and a bit of splenda....yummy.....but guess what, I'm still hungry!!!
MIL brought over some stuff from Greggs last night...god help me. She brought: Cany Apple, a gingerbread bat, apple toffee bake, and two pasties, veg korma and chilli steak.....I eat the bat and the apple toffee thingy....and I now can hear the two pastries in my bag....they are calling....only problem there is....if I eat them now, I have nothing left for lunch....which means I would have to go to the Coop....which could have horrible consequences....oh feck!

The Gym....again!
Well, I did it....yet again I may add....I've signed up for the gym. Well, winter is closing in and it will soon be too dark to walk after work. So the gym it is....besides that, they do Zumba classes 3 times a week there as well, so I'll check them out. After all, I'm spending nearly as much on Zumba as I would on the gym. So heyho, even if it is only for a few months to get me through the winter. My induction is on Saturday, and tomorrow I'll go to my first Zumba class there...and maybe spinning if I still have the energy.
So, why another blog....well I had another gain last night and it's really pissing me off. So I'm getting my act together....well, I'm trying to. I've went onto one of my favorite forums and came across lovely Mummy Blubber. Her blog is lovely and has lots of great recipes on it. So I've decided to start my own. All good and well that I have everything noted down in my wee notebooks, but I might as well put stuff online as it just might help some people.
Plus, with my lovely new iphone I can upload pics soooo much easier (or so I hope, since I haven't actually tried it yet lol). But I suppose we find out soon enough when I post my lunch tomorrow lol.
